Don’t hesitate to link to others
Some webmasters are worry about providing links to other websites, thinking that it would channel away their visitors and/or lower their Google PageRank.
Frankly I was having the same mentality when I started being a webmaster, but later found out that it’s a good thing to provide useful links on your website. Your visitors will appreciate your links and return to your website looking for more.
I mean how often did we bookmark a particular site for the external links they provided? I’m not sure about everyone but my bookmark folder are full of pages with useful links.
One of the most visited website in USA is craigslist.org, which is basically a classified directory with nothing but external links. How about Yahoo? It started as a links directory and is still one of the largest portal online.
My point is that we shouldn’t think too much when we thought of recommending some good post or websites to others, just post the link.. there’s nothing much to lose, and possibly a lot to gain.
