Kinda suprised to see SEO not in the top 10, I always thought search engine optimization is an important key to a website success, regardless of blogs or conventional websites.
Anyhow it’s a great project and provides lots of ideas and issues that those problogger wannabies to consider about.
Time is an important factor for running blogs, as seen from the recommended habits.. blogs probably need more frequent updates and communication compared to a simple website.
I have a blog that is growing rapidly in traffic lately, and it’s taking more and more time to maintain it, and sometimes need to help the readers to look for some information. It does offer a fair share of rewards for the time I spent, but it also make me realize that running more than a few successful blogs is not an easy task.
For me, the most important habit is to keep on learning, be humble and don’t be afraid to ask for guide if needed.
