Always read TOS
I always advice my friends to read the Terms of Service (ToS) of a program that they are joining in, particularly when it involves monetary issues.
Everyday we can hear from webmasters that were banned from affiliate programs like Google Adsense, (while some of the banning were unfortunate and unexplainable,) most of the banned webmasters were obviously violating the Adsense ToS because they didn’t bother to read the it, ‘thinking’ that it should be ok.
Irony though, I wasted US$20+ a few days back because I didn’t read the ToS of a image hosting program, took it for granted I shall say. Only after making the payment for upgrades, I realized that there’s a term in their ToS that I don’t like, and there’s no refund policy for it.
US$20 is not a big deal, but I could have easily save it for a yummy steak if I bothered to use 15-30 minutes to go through the ToS. Always read the ToS, it saves you money.
