What is a blog carnival?
A friend asked me about blog carnival.. what it’s about and the benefits of participating in a blog carnival?
Simple saying blog carnival is a ‘themed’ posting by a group of bloggers, and normally the organizer will collect all the participated links and posted in his own blog, thus create a group posting project of similar topic and interest.
The benefits of blog carnival are the traffic it generates, the links from each other and the community bonding which are usually crucial if the bloggers are serious to produce a famous blog.
Blog carnival can be organized periodically, like I know a group of bloggers that will blog about their cat on every Sunday, share the photos and cat stories among themselves and readers.
Else a blog carnival can be a random act, an organizer started a topic and get other interested bloggers to participate in discussions, with a specific deadline given.
Sometimes I see memes as a form of blog carnival as well, some webmasters might not agree on this though.
