Avoid mediocre, love it or hate it

I like the below drawing very much, as it applies to the principle of every business; not just business online, but every business. [Source]

Love it or hate it

In business the last thing you want is to be mediocre, because your (potential) customers will not remember you and it’s bad for branding.

In some cases if you can’t make people love you, it’s actually good to make them hate you. The classical examples are some bloggers that people commonly find disturbing, but just can’t stop themselves from reading it.

Set aside the hate thingy, it makes business sense not to be mediocre in product or service pricing. It’s best to be the cheapest, or make it really expensive with good qualities…

The last thing you want is to be more expensive than some others but cannot meet the qualities of the others, or in other words… mediocre.
