Why you should start with personal blog

Recently I have seen some newbie started blogging with tough topics like Google Adsense tips but fact is they still need tips and guidance to earn USD1 per day.

I often believe that the success of a blog start with the topic that we chose, and my first advice is to start a blog about something we know best, that we know better than most of other people.

In case if the newbie can’t find a special interest that they are good at, it’s probably not a bad idea to start a personal blog instead.

Darren Rowse wrote about 7 Reasons Why Personal Blogs Rock, worth a reading, and perhaps can convince some newbie that they know about rather than pretend to be some experts.

Here are Darren’s 7 reasons…

1. Teach you the skills of blogging
2. Familiarize you with the tools of blogging
3. Help you work out how much time you have
4. Help you work out if you can sustain blogging for the long term
5. Give you a taste of blogging ‘culture’
6. Help you define a niche
7. Help you find a readership

I started blogging about personal life as well, some 18 months ago, and it did give me the knowledge I need about blogging like Darren mentioned.

Today I already found a couple of good niche that’s making some good money, but I’m still happily maintaining my personal blog, which is bringing in a decent couple of dollars every month.
