Experiment on PayPerPost as advertiser
I just tried PayPerPost (PPP) yesterday with a USD100 budget, which allows me to have ~15 posts and backlinks from other bloggers (not for this blog).
What I didn’t expect is that the opportunities are all taken within 3-4 hours after my ad was approved… certainly shows how active the PPP posties are.
Another surprise is the quality of the paid post. I already expected that they will be some “Made for PPP” (MFP) blogs that post nothing but money making post… but perhaps I’m lucky, I only got 1 out of 15 post that falls into the MFP categories.
Out of the other 14, there are a few blog posts that are with really good quality, others are doing at least ok.
Am I happy about the experiment? Yes, USD100 for 14 backlinks, sounds logical. Not sure if the backlinks will be devalued by search engines, but it’s good at the moment.
Will I continue to advertise on PPP? Yes, in fact I will increase by budget for the next campaign to USD500. A larger budget will probably give me a better view on how good PPP is from an advertiser perspective.
